For this series of photos, I want them to feel like a day in Behrend Fields. It will be a quiet journey that empathizes the great parts of the fields. The photos I took during the day show the open, peaceful side of Behrend Fields. The sun's beams bring an alive and welcoming feeling.
A great establishing shot that shows the location while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. While passing, I don't give it a second thought. But during this shoot, many of the little things Behrend Field had to offer were highlighted.
Like the sign, I pass the bridge without thinking about it. The trees are beautiful, and the sound of the flowing water is calming. Ironically, the structure made for transition and connection is at its best while being stationary.
As night comes, it brings a sense of danger. The places we see in the day are threatening at night. Similar to campfires, this emergency stand brings a sense of comfort while being surrounded by potential danger.
Under different lighting and a change of view, the bridge becomes ominous. Adding to it is the lens flare, and the dead lights add to the mystery. Seeing Erie hall on the other side makes a want to quickly leave. The bridge goes back its original purpose, connection and transition. A different perspective brings different feelings.
